Highest accolade for Camping Max 1

As part of the annual campsite inspections, the cards are often reshuffled. As a leading institution in the ratings scene, ADAC takes a very close look with its PiNCAMP online portal. Its standards are among the strictest criteria a host in the camping industry has to meet anywhere in Europe. The standard of the facilities, the culinary offering and consistently high-quality services are among the key factors. Everything has to be just right.

And clearly, it is at Max 1. With an elegant thermal pool and sauna area covering over 1,000 square metres, with indoor & outdoor pools, its own natural swimming lake, around 160 level pitches surrounded by well-kept greenery and the Maxwirt gourmet restaurant "Maxwirt" on site, Max 1 has long enjoyed an excellent reputation in the camping world. Host Doris Fuchs is not at all afraid of ratings from independent institutions such as ADAC. Wellness enjoyment on a camping holiday

The award-winning thermal pool and sauna area at Max 1 is a key factor in its top ADAC rating. Swimming facilities rank highly when choosing a campsite. Two thermal pools, bio and Finnish saunas with panoramic views of the secluded wellness garden, relaxation rooms with open fires, an ice fountain, foot spa pool, saltwater steam bath – the list of relaxing facilities is long. The pool and sauna area is also popular with non-campers as bookable day wellness. The natural swimming lake, exclusively available to camping guests, with its sunbathing lawn and pitches by the lakeshore is another highlight behind the award. Active health, physio & prescribed spa treatments

There is not only a dedicated therapy centre, where classic treatments can be booked as part of a thermal pool cure or privately on an individual basis – there is also an energy room with state-of-the-art vibration equipment, as well as a fitness room, and active group sessions ranging from aqua aerobics to back training. Bicycles are available for hire and Nordic walking tours are offered. The direct location by the Unterer Inn nature reserve and kilometres of cycling paradise are simply ideal for an active camping holiday.

Enjoyable dining and shopping on site

The ADAC PiNCAMP inspection does not simply assess individual facilities, but analyses their variety and how they work together. Food and drink are an important criterion here. How can campers enjoy a meal at their holiday destination? At Max 1, there is the charming choice between self-catering in your camping vehicle – with a little shop on site for fresh food and camping supplies – and full culinary service at the Maxwirt gourmet restaurant Maxwirt. Here, guests can enjoy a lovingly presented buffet breakfast or order à la carte, while Bavarian-Mediterranean dishes are served for lunch and dinner in the restaurant with its modern beer garden terrace.

Camping essentials, sanitary facilities and special amenities

The quality and quantity of shared facilities such as sanitary facilities and showers also contribute to the good rating. Alongside the comfortable sanitary buildings dotted around the site, private bathrooms can be booked for individual use. Washing machines and dryers, an ironing station and even a dedicated dog bath are available.

Camping Max 1 meets the high standards of the ADAC inspection.

In addition, Max 1 has once again been awarded 5 stars by the DTV, the German Tourism Association – with an extra "S" for "Superior". The campsite has also received the prestigious 2020 European Award from the German Camping Club e.V., came first three times at the CampsiteAward 2023  for wellness, relaxing and its special focus (voted for solely by campers!), and was honoured by LandYachting Magazine as an Excellent Place. Max 1 has ranked among the top 100 sites on camping.info for years and, most recently in 2022, received the "Best Rating for Wellness" among all participating campsites in Europe.

For a whole year, Max 1 may now call itself "ADAC Superplatz 2023". Then the site will have to undergo inspection again.
